Warehouse Manager role available in Mansfield MA location

Olympia Moving & Storage services a wide array of clientele across different business lines. The warehouse is extremely active, and the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational continuity, the integrity of our assets, and the safety and compliance of our personnel. The position demands a quick learner that can synthesize information, is detail oriented, and can make real time decisions. Must be computer savvy as our systems are integral to the operations. This role is based in Mansfield MA but must be a licensed driver to travel between our branch offices and warehouses as well as client locations in area.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of our Area Warehouse Manager in this role you will be overseeing the daily operations and functions of the warehouse. Performs all responsibilities associated with storage/shipping/receiving.

  • Compiles, verifies and maintains weekly inventory report.
  • Leads, manages and supports staff while enforcing established policies and procedures for the maintenance of a safe, productive and efficient working environment.
  • Communicates with other departments and completes appropriate documentation to ensure workflow process, Arranges work schedules, and tracks and monitors overtime.
  • Inspects and records the receiving, storage and tracking of all assets.
  • Updates inventory databases for use by internal and external clients.
  • Cross-trains staff in the proper use of inventory technology.
  • Assures all assets are accurately pulled, prepped, packed and documented for shipping.
  • Assures all assets are stored in organized, safe and easily identifiable manner.
  • Arranges logistics with third party carriers.
  • Performs or assists in inventory audits as required and directed.
  • Ensures OSHA Safety regulations are followed.
  • Member of Safety Committee.
  • Must operate fork truck (stand up/sit down), pallet jack, bailer & scales.
  • Valid drivers license required for travel between company and client locations.
  • Ability to drive straight truck and DOT medical card a plus.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 3-5 years warehouse experience with supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Computer Literate with proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to Work Independently
  • Effective written and oral communications skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Knowledge of transportation documents
  • Knowledge of Inventory control systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
