About us

The Velvet Cellar is downtown Denver's newest wine and cocktail restaurant. We are a new concept that focuses on the guest experience through polished service, a moody vibe, and premium beverage selections with a heavy focus on wine. Our food menu will be dynamic, seasonal, and change every month.

We are looking for polished Server Assistants to fill out the rest of our Front of House team for our Grand Opening in Fall 2023. Your focus will be the support of our bar and service staff. The other responsibilities of this position include delivering dishes to our guests, keeping an eye on table cleanliness, clearing and bussing empty glasses and dishes, and being mindful of waste while still achieving maximum guest satisfaction. We focus on efficient and streamlined operations while maintaining high levels of productivity and superb quality. We want The Velvet Cellar to be a source of tremendous pride for our team!


  • Hourly will be $14.29 per hour plus bar and server tip out

Hours of Operation

We plan to be open:

  • 4 PM - 10 PM, Tuesday through Thursday
  • 4 PM - 11 PM, Friday and Saturday


  • Continuously educate yourself on service techniques and brand development
  • Interact with our guests with finesse and grace
  • Maximize guest satisfaction and service standards
  • Coordinate operations to set up for success
  • Assist with oversight and suggest improvements
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety regulations
  • Minimize mistakes, expenses, and waste


  • Prior experience as high level server assistant, food runner, or bar back
  • Extensive restaurant knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and staff
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on anticipating and addressing problems before our guests notice
  • An inherent ability to adapt to change, critically think and problem solve, all while staying composed under pressure

Pay: $14.67 - $25.00 per hour
