About Us: The Book Cellar is a beloved community hub, combining the love of books with the enjoyment of a cozy cafe. Currently, our cafe offers a limited menu, but we are in the exciting process of transitioning into a full-fledged coffee shop. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Train, supervise, and motivate cafe staff
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed
• Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the team
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Plan and execute special events, including weekend events
• Maintain financial records, manage budgets, and achieve sales targets

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cafe Manager or similar role, or verifiable self-employment in a related field
• Barista experience is essential
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work all business hours and weekends as required for events
• Positive attitude, eager to learn, and adaptable to change
• Passion for coffee and books is a plus
