Job Title: Welder

Location: Shelbyville, KY 40065

Terms: Full Time - 45-55 hours per week

Salary/rate: Based on an interview, weld test, & mechanical knowledge

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team, focusing on the welding and fabrication of mining conveyors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in pulse arc welding and capable of reading and interpreting blueprints to complete jobs efficiently and accurately. This role is vital in ensuring our mining equipment is fabricated to the highest standards and ready for deployment in various field operations.

Responsibilities:

Welding and Fabrication:

• Perform pulse arc welding on structural steel components.

• Fabricate mining conveyors and related equipment.

• Clean and prepare welded surfaces, including scraping splatter and cleaning welds.

• Print Reading and Task Management:

• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately complete assigned tasks.

• Keep parts organized and ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner while staying on task.

Shop Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Take care of all shop tools and equipment, ensuring they are used properly and safely.

Candidate Requirements

Proficiency in welding, particularly pulse arc welding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience using a tape measure and basic math skills for accurate measurements.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay on task.

Additional Information

• Training will be provided as needed.

• Pay is dependent on knowledge and experience.

· Ability to work on uneven terrain, around noise, vibrations, and airborne particulates commonly found in construction and aggregate processing.

· Ability to use vision to read instructions, identify hazards, and safely navigate job sites; corrective lenses may be used.

· Ability to work in confined or tight spaces when required.

· Ability to travel to various job sites as assigned.

Safety & Compliance Requirements

· Must follow all PMI safety policies and procedures at all times.

· Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.

· Must report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment concerns immediately.

· Employment is contingent upon successfully passing any required post-offer screenings related to safety-sensitive positions (e.g., drug testing, motor vehicle records, background checks where applicable).
