Warehouse Lead - High-Energy, Hands-On Leader

Are you a dynamic, high-energy leader ready to take charge of a warehouse operation? Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS) is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leading by example while managing daily operations and driving team success.

About the Role: The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including Shipping/Receiving, machine operation, and inventory management. You'll work closely with Office Management, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. We're looking for a proactive problem-solver who can keep the warehouse running smoothly while fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, managing and motivating warehouse staff to achieve team and individual goals.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations: order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ensure accuracy of shipments, maintain warehouse inventory counts, and handle inbound deliveries.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed for warehouse organization.
  • Act as a point of contact for order status and product availability.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport goods to customer sites, following all safety standards.
  • Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), ensuring accurate customer deliveries and stock management at customer sites.
  • Train, develop, and supervise warehouse team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and shipping software.
  • Forklift operation and LTL scheduling experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of the job.
  • Valid Class D Driver's License.
