Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Academic Coach to provide personalized guidance and mentorship to students, helping them achieve academic success. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and a passion for education, with a focus on delivering high-quality tutoring and coaching. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to push into school during the day.

Duties:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students of all ages, focusing on specific subjects or skills.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure students are meeting their academic goals ,as needed
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and teach curriculum materials that align with state and national standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Provide resources and support to students and their families to help them succeed outside of the classroom.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in education and learning technology, and apply this knowledge to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students of all ages, including preschool and adult education.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education and learning technology.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Experience with tutoring, with a focus on individualized support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students, families, and other support staff.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

-Having completed the Orton Gillingham training is a bonus!!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
