Horses Adaptive Riding and Therapy

Founded in 2015, our non-profit organization is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities through the healing power of horses. We create life-changing experiences by fostering a deep connection between humans and horses. We offer a supportive, community-focused environment where you can contribute to meaningful work, helping others achieve growth and empowerment through equine-assisted activities.

We are seeking a riding instructor to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting lessons for children and adults, taking care of the horses and directing volunteers during lessons.

Requirements:

  • minimum 1 year experience teaching horseback riding lessons
  • minimum 1 year experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities and special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
  • capable of lifting up to 70lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • prepare, lead and track each lessons
  • set goals for individuals
  • exercise horses to ensure healthy conditioning
  • create a safe and engaging environment for each individual
  • collaborate with volunteers and the team to provide a fun and upbeat atmosphere

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
