Responsibilities

- Manage tables efficiently, ensuring prompt service, and maintain a clean and organized dining environment.
- Take orders, handle cash and credit transactions, and operate a cash register or POS system with ease.
- Utilize OpenTable or other reservation systems to manage seating and waitlists.
- Provide exceptional guest services, including answering questions, making recommendations, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Handle food and beverage orders, ensuring they are delivered promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered to the table in a timely and visually appealing manner.
- Perform cash handling and reconciliation tasks as needed.
- Participate in regular cleaning and sanitizing of the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a keen sense of attention to detail and a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of cash handling and restaurant POS systems.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or other reservation systems.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds, with frequent bending and standing.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
