Red Stix Asian street food is looking for a full-time Bartender to join our team in Dallas, TX.

Bartender Job Description:

The Bartender is responsible for the preparation and service of alcoholic beverages. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of all alcoholic beverages, be able to provide recommendations for mixing and matching beverages according to customer’s preferences, and be able to work safely with all types of alcohol. The successful candidate will also maintain a clean work environment, including the bar area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcoholic beverages for bar service (e.g. wine, beer, cocktails) and bar guests (e.g. takeout, lunch orders)
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Stock bar inventory and social media content as needed
• Cross-trained in other beverage handling tasks such as food preparation or cooking, or food prep, including preparing sandwiches, salads, prepared foods, etc.
• Adhere to health and safety standards regarding alcohol content and food sanitation policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean work environment by removing all debris from the work area and sanitizing all surfaces where alcohol is served or stored
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or bartender as needed

Skills Required:

• Previous experience as a bartender or similar position preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret recipes and prepare mixed drinks is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow directions accurately. Ability to multi-task. Ability to be quick on your feet when serving drinks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of proper sanitation practices is required. Knowledge of bar menu guidelines is preferred but not required. Knowledge of how alcohol interacts with various foods is a plus (e.g., wine versus beer versus cocktail versus mixed drink). Knowledge of how different types of liquor burn is a plus (e.g., straight versus mixer versus fruit cocktail versus fruit-flavored cocktail). Knowledge of how different types of liquor taste is a plus (e.g., straight versus mixer versus fruit cocktail versus straight whiskey versus blended whiskey). Knowledge of how different types of food interact with liquor is a plus (e.g., wine versus beer versus cocktails versus mixed food).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.52 - $19.90 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
