Position Overview

Exact Science’s Marketing Operations team is responsible for empowering teams by providing the structure, processes, and strategic planning necessary to build strong partnerships, drive efficiencies, foster robust collaboration, and achieve strategic goals to drive the success of OneExact Marketing.

As a Senior Program Manager, Marketing Operations you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-impact Marketing programs. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and program management skills to ensure that programs meet business objectives, stay within scope and budget, and deliver value to stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to drive program success and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This role prefers the individual to work in a hybrid capacity at an office location in one of the following cities: Redwood City, CA; San Diego, CA; Boston, MA; Phoenix, AZ; or Madison, WI.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and manage multiple programs simultaneously, from inception through completion. Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement program strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals. Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze program performance using various metrics and tools. Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimize program effectiveness and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to provide program updates, address concerns, and manage expectations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Present program status, results, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication of marketing initiatives and their impact on business objectives.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) within program team and with stakeholders across all levels at Exact Sciences.
  • Facilitate defining success metrics for a given initiative (OKRs and KPIs); manage the tracking and reporting of those metrics; support the team in promoting their accomplishments.
  • Drive recurring initiative team meetings - covering key accomplishments, upcoming activities, decisions, risks, issues, action items, etc.
  • Support Marketing Operations leadership in defining, implementing, and ensuring adherence to engagement models with external teams (e.g., IT, Customer Experience, Business Units).
  • Oversee implementation of Marketing-related transformational efforts (e.g., governance, standing-up new engagement models, implementing OKR-based prioritization).
  • Define, implement, and ensure adherence to Marketing operational standards and best practices.
  • Drive organizational change management processes via planning, communications, and relationship management.
  • Effectively manage resource allocation and team workloads, ensuring assigned project deadlines are met in accordance with the larger portfolio.
  • Mentors other team members in project management processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation building/delivering skills, with the ability to agilely adapt to the respective audience (team member to senior leadership).
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field of study; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of experience working as a Program Manager, with at least 5 years in the digital domain using Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodologies.
  • Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products/services.
  • Extensive experience applying techniques and methods of modern project/program management along with expertise with product management platforms and tools.
  • Experience recruiting, coordinating, developing, and managing a team of Project Managers driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Extensive experience engaging with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, SMEs, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship where you can both learn and influence.
  • Experience in relationship building, motivation, and curiosity to bring together different personalities for creative thinking and collaborative solutioning.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and leaders without direct authority.
  • Advanced problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to evolve operational models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to agilely adapt to the respective audience (team member to senior leadership) – including simplifying and communicating complex ideas to broad audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with meeting and event planning.
  • Experience working with Experience Design teams including UX/UI Design, Copywriting and Content Strategy.
  • Experience with Jira or other Agile/Scrum related platforms.
  • Experience with large-scale digital and/or operational transformations.
  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or digital health.
  • Experience with product and operations (digital and physical).
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B products and/or service.

Salary Range:

$129,000.00 - $208,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
