Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about retail and enjoy working with people.

Duties:

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering personalized recommendations to meet their needs.
- Operate a cash register, manage transactions, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Utilize basic math skills to accurately calculate change, handle cash and credit transactions, and manage store funds.
- Use retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions about inventory and product promotions.
- Demonstrate strong sales skills by engaging with customers, identifying upselling opportunities, and meeting sales targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and parking lot.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as counting cash and making deposits.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including supervising other sales associates when necessary.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in retail sales or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A positive and friendly attitude is essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.42 - $13.52 per hour
