The starting pay range for this position is $28.74-$38.85 hourly

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Facilities Maintenance and Office Services has a part time vacancy for Regional Facility Coordinator.

SUMMARY:

Supports the Department’s Program Divisions at the District Office level by evaluating work procedures, facility maintenance, safety, and security to ensure the NH Department of Health and Human Services’ ability to administer state and federal programs. Maintains records and analyzes information gathered to verify compliance with state and federal regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages day-to-day facility operations of District Office, including landlord/tenant relations, physical plant security, building access approval, space design, and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations as coordinated by the Facilities Maintenance Unit.

Supervises staff completing special projects as needed such as office reconfigurations and moves. Develops work methods for special projects. Reviews completed assignments for accuracy and rejects unsatisfactory work as completed by BFAM and contractors. Offers professional appraisal and evaluation of district office staff to program supervisors, on an as needed basis, to be included in the staffs’ annual evaluation.

Plans, develops, and implements effective programmatic plans for the operation of the facilities including equipment maintenance, district office inventory, and storage and security issues. Orders materials and supplies and maintains inventory, records, logs, and job costs to provide for budgetary information.

Liaison to the DoIT Technical Support Specialist to assist and direct users in various computer functions to ensure proper performance and resolve service interruptions on-site. Provides computer support to staff by assisting DoIT with delivery, set-up, and removal of computer equipment.

Responds to emergency calls to maintain safe and proper operating conditions. Receives employee and/or client facility complaints and concerns and directs appropriate action or takes corrective action.

Coordinates with various Divisions within the facility to obtain maximum effectiveness of facility services with minimum security and safety risks as well as ensures adherence to policies and procedures. Clarifies procedures to ensure uniformity among offices.

Evaluates, administers, directs, and organizes safety and security training functions with the Health and Safety Officer which relate to the agencies facility policies. Trains and enforces safety and security policies and regulations to internal stakeholders.

Maintains and troubleshoots various facility telephone systems to ensure daily operations are not interrupted. Coordinates with telephone vendors and state office for external repairs.

Plans and recommends physical facility and property improvements to the Director of Facilities to meet future long-term facility goals.

Monitors compliance with lease agreements and contracts and reports issues to the Supervisor to ensure year-round efficiency and effectiveness of facility operations and the required delivery of services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in the field of human services, computer science, business management, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Five years' experience in human services, public administration or related field, plus three years of supervisory experience in any occupational area. If related to the program area, the supervisory experience will count as part of the five years' total experience. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

License/Certification: Valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for use in Statewide travel.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proven interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve Department goals.

Coverage areas are periodically realigned. Applicants must be available for statewide travel.
