Title: Python Tester with ETL

Location: Fort Mill, SC


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Python Tester with a strong background in testing APIs to join our dynamic software testing team. As a Python Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans for APIs. Your expertise in Python programming and API testing methodologies will be instrumental in identifying issues early in the development process and delivering high-quality software to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand API requirements and functionalities.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans for API testing using Python.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing of APIs to validate functionality, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain API test frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Identify, isolate, and report defects and issues using appropriate bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software quality through constructive feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging trends in API testing and quality assurance.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role, with a focus on API testing.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
  • Solid understanding of API concepts, RESTful architecture, and web services.
  • Experience with API testing tools and libraries such as requests, unittest, pytest, and Postman.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • ISTQB or similar software testing certification is a plus.
  • Experience with performance testing, security testing, or test automation is advantageous.
