Prior Authorization Specialist

Seeking experienced, energetic, upbeat, collaborative person to join our patient services team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants - a leading provider of gastroenterology medical services in the area. Responsibilities include:

• Submit/obtain prior authorization for medical imaging studies
• CT, MRIs, Ultrasounds, Gastric emptying, HIDA
• Obtain patient records from other medical facilities/labs
• Schedule patients for their approved medical imaging
• Schedule and reschedule patients for their office visits and lab appointments
• Assist the scheduling department with patient walk ins
• Answer phones and check voicemails daily

Qualifications:

• Office experience preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Detail oriented
• Team player
