Job Description

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Serve as primary contact for building and maintaining supplier relationship through communication, which enables the development of a performance based culture and has the ability to influence and motivate
  • Manage and monitor all supplier programs, price structures and development of deals, discount levels and incentives and identify opportunities, barrier problems and recommend solutions
  • Manage, train, motivate and effectively interact with Territory Managers to aid in the development of sales territories
  • Must be able to lead, manage and execute through all sales teams statewide
  • Acts in unison with supplier personnel to help develop and build the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and subsequently ensure focus at all trade levels as well as personnel levels within the company
  • Manage points of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to identify risks
  • Manage and execute supplier bill backs, depletion allowances and bank charges by brand and size on a monthly basis
  • Work with all levels to deliver the plan with regards to net sales volume, depletions and shipments while managing the approved company budget
  • Build and implement a clear mid-month and end of month review process as well as a daily monitoring process utilizing the Anaplan tracking system which tracks ads, displays and features
  • Meet with suppliers to design, implement, review, analyze and track key sales goals and initiatives
  • Evaluate the profitability of the company’s supplier portfolios, key brands, as well as each marketing plan to ensure proper sales margins, projections on key brands and budgets are maintained
  • Create monthly sales tools, deal books, pitch books, and highlight sheets to use in the field and aid in selling key programs
  • Communicate inventory needs and other similar issues to Brand Directors
  • Conduct surveys with our suppliers as needed
  • Responsible for ordering supplier brand sales tools, which include coupons and point of sale for both on and off premise
  • New item set up and manage sku rationalization with IS to ensure proper sales reporting
  • Analyze market trends, historical sales data, product forecasts and vendor profitability for all assigned products
  • Facilitate and participate in sales meetings and brand events as needed
  • Organize and participate in company planning meetings as needed
  • Adhere to federal, state and company regulations that govern our industry
  • Resolves employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment and discrimination and elevates to the attention of management as necessary
  • Responsible for strategic guidance, professional development and performance of direct reports
  • Communicates with all levels of sales management across the organization
  • May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business
  • May be required to travel to other locations as needed

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience required
  • Experience of five (5) to seven (7) years of industry experience required
  • Experience of two (2) years management or leadership experience required
  • Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred
  • Valid driver license, insurance and satisfactory driving record required
