Job Description: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

We are currently looking for a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to provide dedicated support for a client managing multiple health conditions, including asthma Arthritis, depression, asthma, hypertension, diabetes, degenerative spine, and recent knee replacements. The PCA will play a crucial role, working 7 hours, 2 times a week.

Duties

  • Assisting with essential tasks such as bathing, dressing, and providing supervision during transfers.
  • Inquire about and assist with meal preferences for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Ensure the client has water by her bedside to minimize walking, considering her injury.
  • Set up the commode in the bedroom before the caregiver leaves, recognizing her bathroom limitations.
  • Keep the phone consistently charged for accessibility.
  • Perform light cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, and countertop cleaning, and ensure trash is taken out at the end of each shift.
  • Check for expired food in the fridge and cabinets.
  • Attend to mail and help with walking the small dog.
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, toileting)
  • Help with mobility and physical therapy exercises
  • Prepare and assist with meals
  • Perform light housekeeping
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social events

Requirements:
