Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Temporary ; 3 months +
- Role: Nonprofit Bookkeeper / AR/AP and Payroll Specialist
- Location: Chicago, IL 60654 – River North
- Pay Rate: $25-35 per hour
- Shift: Flexible ; hours are between 20-35 weekly
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Nonprofit Financial Operations:
- Set up new vendors and process payments using Bill.com
- Manage accounts receivable and invoicing in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Staffing Business Support:
- Handle new employee setup, including I-9, W-4, banking info, and IDs
- Manage timesheets, PTO, and bi-weekly payroll through Gusto
- Generate payroll and client billing reports
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years prior similar experience in AP, AR and Payroll within QuickBooks
- Solid analytical skills and finance expertise
- Proficiency in accounts receivable and invoicing
- Experience in nonprofit financial operations ideal, not required
- Knowledge of accounting principles and software (QuickBooks, Gusto, Bill.com, and Ramp)
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
