We're hiring a Journeyman Mechanic to Live. Work. Explore. in Yellowstone!

 

Job Summary:

This position performs routine maintenance on assigned Company fleet equipment (i.e snowcoaches, buses, cars, trucks, snowmobiles, horse drawn wagons) with emphasis on safety and cost control in support of Yellowstone National Park Lodges Transportation Maintenance.

 

The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundPay: Discussed During InterviewSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose vehicle problems and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Contribute insight and suggestions into vehicle maintenance program.
  • Complete accurate work orders showing labor and materials used to perform each job.
  • Remain current with industry standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop and work area.
  • Personal safety and shop safety.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Keep abreast of vehicle repair techniques.
  • Diverse mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must become a International Association of Mechanist's and Aerospace Workers Union Member.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 19 year's of age.
  • Computer skills a plus.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to stand, stretch, and bend for a 10 hour day.
  • Must be able to work in sub- zero weather for a short period of time.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces. (i.e. under vehicles) or in strenuous positions.
  • Must be able to use a respirator.
