Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across various environments, including industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts

• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connect low-voltage systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes

• Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex systems and implement effective solutions

• Follow strict electrical safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members during all phases of work

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services during construction or renovation projects

• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records

Experience

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems

• Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, industrial electrical systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues

• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Safety Code) standards and local electrical codes

• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately

• Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations or upgrades

• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and low voltage systems is highly desirable

• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools; voltmeters; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment

• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during high-voltage work or system troubleshooting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
