Job Description
HVAC Sales & Install Technician — Help Us Build Our HVAC Division
About the Role
Luxury Electric is an established, respected electrical company expanding into HVAC — and we're looking for the right person to help us build that side of the business from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity for an HVAC professional who's tired of being just another tech on someone else's truck and wants a real seat at the table as we grow a brand-new division.
We need someone who can sell the job and do the job — someone who can walk into a home, earn trust, diagnose or scope the work, present the right solution (and the right upgrade), close the sale, and then get it installed right. As the HVAC side grows, there's real opportunity to grow with it — more territory, more team members reporting to you, and bigger rewards for the person who helped build it.
As a bonus, working alongside our electrical team means you'll have the opportunity to learn electrical work as well — expanding your skill set (and your earning potential) beyond HVAC alone.
Key Responsibilities
• Sell and install residential HVAC systems — furnaces, AC, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, zoning, smart thermostats, and related equipment
• Conduct in-home consultations, assess customer needs, and present system options and pricing
• Confidently and honestly upsell upgrades and premium solutions that genuinely benefit the client (efficiency upgrades, smart controls, maintenance plans, indoor air quality, etc.)
• Perform quality installations and ensure all work meets code and manufacturer specifications
• Deliver a five-star customer experience — this company's reputation for quality electrical work should carry straight into HVAC
• Help shape processes, pricing, and best practices for the HVAC division as it grows
• Collaborate with the electrical team on jobs that overlap (panel upgrades for new HVAC systems, EV/generator tie-ins, etc.)
• Maintain accurate documentation, quotes, and job records
• Represent the company at a high standard in every home you enter
Qualifications
Required:
• Licensed/certified HVAC technician ([specify: EPA 608, state license, etc.])
• Proven experience in BOTH HVAC installation and sales (or strong install experience with a real desire to grow into sales)
• Strong communication skills — comfortable presenting options and pricing directly to homeowners
• Self-starter mentality — comfortable helping build something new, not just following an existing playbook
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage your own job pipeline
Preferred:
• Experience with high-efficiency or premium HVAC brands
• Prior experience in a commission-based or performance-pay role
• Interest in eventually leading or managing the HVAC division as it grows
• Background or crossover knowledge in electrical work
What Makes This Role Different
• Ground-floor opportunity — help build a new division inside an established, trusted company
• Uncapped earning potential — commission plus long-term upside as the division scales
• Room to grow into a leadership role (Lead Tech, HVAC Division Manager) as the team expands
• Backed by an existing customer base and reputation — you're not starting from zero
• Work with an ownership team that's serious about investing in the right person
What We Offer
• Competitive base pay + commission structure
• On-the-job opportunity to learn electrical work alongside our experienced electrical team
• Growth path into a leadership/management role as the division expands
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
• Tools/equipment provided or allowance
• Paid time off and holidays
