Job Description/Responsibilities:
Are you a passionate HR professional looking for a dynamic role where you can truly make an impact? Barton 1792 Distillery is seeking an on-site HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be a key player in shaping our workplace culture by providing comprehensive HR support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR administration. Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Lead the recruitment process: screening, interviewing, and hiring top talent across all roles.
  • Strategically post job openings to attract the best candidates via various platforms and networks.
  • Facilitate smooth new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring every new team member feels welcomed and supported.
  • Manage the internal job bid process for union employees, ensuring fairness and transparency.
Employee Relations
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, offering guidance and support.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist in handling disciplinary actions and terminations when needed, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with union leadership to foster positive workplace relations.
Performance Management
  • Continuously seek ways to improve team performance and support managers in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Administer the attendance policy, ensuring accurate tracking and timely communication with managers for action.
  • Support the development of employees through clear performance management processes.
HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage the HRIS database to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Partner with our corporate HR team to assist employees with benefits programs, enrollments, and vendor communications.
  • Prepare and present HR reports and metrics to leadership, offering insights for decision-making.
Compliance & Policy Adherence
  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations, keeping the company in line with best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives to continually improve the employee experience.
Qualifications/Requirements:
To be successful in the role, you'l need the following requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to interact at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with HRIS systems.
    • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Early Start: Begin your day at 7 AM (or earlier as needed).

Compensation
: Placement within the salary range is calculated based on years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel, or cell phone reimbursement.
Min: USD $71,800.00/Yr. Max: USD $107,700.00/Yr.
