Position: Home Stager/Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Home Stager/Designer who can independently transform spaces to maximize their visual appeal, or communicate suggestions for streamlining, modifying or redesigning spaces verbally and via written Consultation Summaries. The ideal candidate will be adept at staging new construction, as well as existing homes, ensuring they meet and exceed client expectations. As a crucial member of our team, you will collaborate with realtors, utilize your design expertise, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. We are willing to train someone who already has a design eye but maybe doesn't have formal education. If a candidate is interested in supplementing additional hours within our retail stores, there would also be an option for that but is not necessary.

Responsibilities:

Staging:

· Conduct meetings with realtor or homeowner to assess and understand property staging needs.

· Select and organize furnishings from the company-owned warehouse, ensuring they align with the unique characteristics of each home.

· Pack up the chosen furnishings, for transport to the property by others.

· Occasionally procure additional items to enhance the staging design, demonstrating a keen eye for aesthetic detail.

· Install curtain rods and curtains, with training provided as necessary.

· Upon completion of staging, responsible for packing up furnishings, for the return trip to the warehouse.

· Conduct light cleaning tasks after staging to maintain a pristine presentation.

Staging or Design Consultation:

· STAGING ADVICE IN HOMES FOR SALE - Collaborate closely and in person with clients, offering professional recommendations that will effectively guide them to prepare and stage their home for sale. Communicate recommendations from the in-home visit with a written Consultation Summary document utilizing our template in an urgent and timely manner.

· DESIGN ADVICE IN HOMES WHERE PEOPLE LIVE - Work with clients needing assistance to achieve a desired style or usefulness to rooms of a new or existing home where a refresh or new purpose is desired. Assist in reimagining spaces to meet the client’s desire. Communicate recommendations and design concepts via a written Design Summary document in a timely manner. This document will have both written descriptions and include images to help demonstrate suggested styles, layouts and furnishings, using our template.

Skills:

· Proven experience as a decorator or visual merchandiser, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

· In-depth knowledge of design principles, furniture eras, and styles.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.

· Demonstrated creativity and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of staging.

· Well-organized and reliable, with the capacity to meet deadlines independently.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and possess reliable transportation.

· Ability to navigate Greater Madison and within a sixty-mile radius of the city.

· High school diploma required; a degree in design or a relevant field is a plus.
