Overview
Commonwealth Home Care is a fast growing provider of home healthcare services committed to providing personalized care to individuals in their own home. We are seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team in the Richmond, VA branch. The Office Coordinator is responsible for the day to day clerical support for an established Home Health Agency. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills- both verbally and written. Clerical duties are diverse with all requiring knowledge of office systems, customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage telephone systems, triaging phone calls throughout the day to the correct party- taking detailed messages to relay, as indicated
- Maintaining the fax machine and forwarding faxes throughout the agency and to outside partners
- Answer incoming calls and emails with scheduling issues and concerns and assist in problem solving.
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing and data entry
- Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
-Maintains documentation, gathers data, and generates reports related to Performance Improvement Projects.
- Provide administrative support to various departments by pulling reports, auditing charts, and requesting medical records from outside facilities.
- Maintain office supplies & medical supply inventory and place orders as needed. Maintains inventory records on program equipment.
-Trains new users on EMR, troubleshoots when users experience difficulty with the system, ensures that necessary entries are made and reporting is done on a timely basis.
- Assists in scheduling interviews and performing personnel requisitions, as needed
- Records and maintains minutes of staff meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.
-Maintains an up-to-date medical record by scanning documents timely and completing EOE audits as directed
- Follows up with clients, and families regarding schedule changes, service issues, etc as directed by supervisors
-Forwards all mail to corporate office
Experience
-High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in office management or similar experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Home Health processes is a plus. Experience with Medicare is a plus. Experience in office management is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
