Summary

The High Bay Freezer Forklift Operator is responsible for the loading and unloading of carriers (such as truck, rail and containers), forklift driving, and relocation of product, inventory counts, housekeeping and paperwork. In this role, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Using a stand-up forklift with a push/pull attachment, must be able to transfer product from staged pallet location onto truck or railcar.
• Using a standup forklift with a push/pull attachment, must be able to transfer product from truck or railcar to a stagged pallet location.
• Responsible to interact with automated High-Bay Freezer (HBF) system to properly call for and return pallets to location. Technology systems included in HBF include: Data Collection System, Radio Frequency guns and Human Machine Interface stations.
• Responsible for accurately loading truck or railcar with correct product and quantity of product.
• Responsible for sealing truck or railcar to ensure proper food transportation procedures are met.
• Responsible for fixing palletized product to make sure it can enter the HBF.

Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience
1+ years related experience and/or training

Forklift Certification (Internal Certification & Training Provided)
