Overview:

We are seeking a Healthcare User Acceptance Tester who will support the State of Tennessee on the Healthcare User Acceptance Testing project. This person will be responsible for ensuring the system meets business requirements and supports business outcomes, attending meetings, reviewing requirement and design documents, and providing expert feedback where appropriate. Working closely with our client and other partners, the consultant will contribute to the success of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and assist in defect resolution to maintain high-quality standards.

Duties:

• Conduct all testing and evaluation of project initiatives, identifying issues in software or services.
• Analyze discrepancies in service or performance and recommend product or service updates.
• Plan, organize, execute, and monitor UAT testing, including managing defects, creating defect reports, and collaborating with vendors and the state to resolve issues.
• Ensure timely completion of software testing according to plan and communicate bottlenecks or risks to management.
• Collaborate with our client and other partners on defect resolution and other project processes.

Mandatory Skills/ Experience:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience on one or more Eligibility, Medicaid, or Health and Human Services (HHS) IT projects.
• 5+ years of experience working on mid- to large-scale system development projects, including using test automation, test strategy, and developing and executing test scripts and test plans.
• 5+ years of experience creating and executing detailed test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or Systems Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Desirable Skills/ Experience:

• Ability to develop effective, positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products, e.g. Word, Excel, and online applications.
• Defect/bug management and familiarity with defect management tools (HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA JAMA etc.)
• Familiarity with requirements traceability matrix
• Creating testing requirements from design documents, functional requirements etc.
• Experience with Testing phases and entrance and exit criteria
• Testing data creation and maintenance
• Familiarity with development tools and development languages
• Knowledge of the MMIS Member Enrollment/Provider Services Modules
