Project Description:

As a Healthcare Claims Processor, you will be provided 22 weeks of paid training to enable you to be successful in the position. All training will take place in office. Once training has been successfully completed this role will be 99% remote (requires one flexible day in office). Performance coaching & collaboration will be provided throughout your employment to drive engagement.

All Computer/Technology hardware will be provided to enable your success but must be picked up in person from the local office located in Louisville, TN (and returned to the same location if you decide to pursue other opportunities). You must live within a 90-mile radius of Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities
:
  • The Healthcare Claims Processor will actively support our healthcare client by processing and/or adjusting typical and non-typical healthcare claims and appeals.
  • Perform extensive research to process and/or adjust healthcare claims and appeals
  • Use multiple healthcare-related operating systems and tracking tools simultaneously
  • Occasionally encounter non-typical healthcare claims
  • Actively utilize critical thinking skills to determine when to seek advice or escalate issues
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of professional work experience with solid tenure in each role
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Strong computer proficiency focusing on multiple systems input
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions regarding the decision to pay or deny claims
  • Excellent reading comprehension due to the high volume of data required to complete the claims process
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field
  • 1 year of Medical Claims processing experience
  • Knowledge and experience in any workstream of US healthcare
