Our firm is offering a truly unique opportunity for just the right candidate. We will hire someone who may be interested in becoming a financial advisor but does not know how to get started. You begin your career with a thoroughly planned growth trajectory. During the first two years as an Advisor Support Specialist, you begin to learn the fundamentals of working in our firm. After two years and a proven track record, if you find you are still interested in taking the next steps, you can sit for your license exams and earn promotion to the position of Associate Advisor.

Our firm is a part of a leading regional network offering financial services and wealth management, as well as, one of the largest independent broker/dealers in the country. Our office is located in the Southwest Suburbs.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree is required
  • Internship in the industry preferred but not required
  • Investment.Insurance experience or interest is a must
  • Must have the following character traits: Positive energy, Self Starter, Loyalty to clients and our firm, have complete ownership & follow-through of tasks from start to finish
  • Attention to detail at the highest level is a must
  • Ability to deal with sensitive data and maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and flexibility to manage changing priorities
  • Excellent client service skills; the highest level of professionalism is required.
  • High proficiency with technology

Responsibilities of the Advisor Support Specialist:

  • Begin to study for life insurance license
  • Begin to study for the FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses
  • Learn the fundamentals of our practice through execution and follow-up in the following areas:

New client on-boarding

Client meeting preparation and follow-up

Client account servicing

Operation and procedure administration

Technology/software utilization

Compliance and industry regulations

Project management
