We’re a local, well-established pet care company that’s seeking to hire an active, responsible pet lover for daytime dog walking visits and occasional am/pm pet sitting visits. This is a fun and rewarding job and may be a perfect fit if you:

Keep the following in mind before applying:

Our positions start as part-time until training is completed (typically training takes 1 - 2 weeks).

We hire as employees (not independent contractors) and pay via direct deposit on a bi-weekly basis.

Our services are performed within our north-central and north-west San Antonio service area (78213, 78216, 78230, 78231, 78232, 78247, 78248, 79249, 78258, or 78259). Living in or near this area helps minimize the amount of driving to and from clients' homes, ensuring a good work/life balance.

Driving is a big part of this job and this position will be responsible for visits in the entire service area.

Applicants MUST:

• Love pets and want to spend time caring for them
• Have a smartphone, and a level of comfort using it often for job-related tasks
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have current auto insurance
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to pass a criminal/background check
• Be able to walk dogs in all weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, or rainy)
• Be able to walk up and down three flights of stairs
• Be willing and able to drive in the rain and/or at night
• Be willing to drive on major highways (1604, 410, I-10, 281, etc.)
• Be willing to clean up pet messes and accidents

Additionally, applicants would IDEALLY:

• Be able to walk dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Be able to commit to working with our team for at least one year
• Be able to work 25 to 40 hours per week
• Have good attention to detail
• Have exceptional time management skills
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills (written & verbal)
• Have the ability to work independently
• Drive a reasonably fuel-efficient vehicle

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
