Metro Detroit Company seeks a Director of Marketing to lead, develop and grow all aspects of marketing with a focus on brand, communications, social media, and PR. This is a full-time, in-office position that will be based in the company’s offices located in Novi, Michigan.
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for establishing marketing campaigns, content strategy, and managing the company’s various brand assets across all touch-points. The Director of Marketing will establish annual and quarterly strategic plans with 360 campaigns and frictionless execution on program and retail location launches. This detail-oriented, hands-on leader will drive results with a broad scope of responsibility. A successful candidate will thrive in quantitative analysis to track, measure and optimize online and offline marketing programs and drive ROI based decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead marketing team for a collection of companies across all marketing channels.
- Establish annual marketing strategic plan, resources needed for execution, key metrics to monitor effectiveness and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocating resources appropriately.
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy and components of multi- faceted 360 marketing campaigns.
- Implement the brand vision, mission, goals and strategies across multiple categories to support brand growth, awareness and equity.
- Develop and drive strategic marketing programs from inception to launch including budgeting and business planning.
- Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns and assess against goals and budget to optimize future plans and strategy.
- Drive strategy and execution of annual marketing plan & activations and go-to- market strategies including 360 campaigns for new retail location launches.
- Work closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.
- Monitor market trends, analyze data and assess competitive landscape to identify opportunities and ideas for future brand success.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the brand to attract a greater share of new customers to the industry.
- Grow customer loyalty program and hit key revenue and engagement targets.
- Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team.
- Support company culture as a driver of growth.
- Champion the innovation and commercialization process for new products, new packaging, and line extensions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as Marketing Manager or similar marketing or brand management role on brand and/or agency side.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism, or equivalent work experience.
- Effective relationship-building skills; business savvy and organizational agility to leverage partnerships both inside and outside the organization to get work done.
- Proactive problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate obstacles and also quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas.
- Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast-paced environment, who is also effective as a collaborator and hands-on contributor.
- Prior marketing experience in health care or commercial real estate is a plus!
- Passion for emerging trends in social marketing and new media.
- Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to effectively present to and advocate for ideas with executive team.
- Comfort and poise when working with executives.
- Have a can-do "make it happen" attitude – you have a bias towards action and results.
