Full Job Description
The Cultivation Floor Manager will assist the Director of Cultivation with overall management of the team, cultivation tasks and duties, plants, and systems responsible for the maximum production and quality of cannabis on their respective floor. They will report directly to the Director of Cultivation and will assist in ensuring that all cultivation duties and tasks are completed in a timely manner and in conjunction with set deadlines for completion. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing/contracting basic mechanical issues including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical components of the facility. They will oversee plant health and growth trends and report problems to the DOC.
General Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
The Cultivation Floor Manager will be in charge of overseeing moving plants, pruning leaves, mixing fertilizer, installing trellis nets, IPM, education and applying skills with general labor, team management and synchronization, etc.
● Plant Health – Ensuring all plants are receiving proper care, nutrients, water, light, temperature, humidity, VPD, etc. in order to produce maximum output of high quality cannabis.
● IPM (Integrated pest management) – Ensuring safe application of state certified pesticides and implementing pest control strategies.
● Pruning – Teaching and educating team on proper pruning and meeting prune deadlines.
● Mixing Nutrients – Mixing/adding nutrients to the reservoirs and feeding the plants.
● Mother Room – Ensuring proper mom stock/rotations are in place and maintaining proper plant health.
● Cleanliness – Ensuring facility is kept in clean, orderly, and presentable manner at all times to reduce contamination and maintain clean product.
● Harvesting – Ensuring the team accomplishes the harvest on time and using proper techniques.
● Plant propagation – Overseeing and implementing techniques that reduce errors and strain mix-ups.
● Labor management – Ensuring team labor is used efficiently and effectively to accomplish all tasks.
● Discipline – Implementing appropriate corrective actions for minor employee discrepancies.
● Compliance – Working with compliance to ensure all Metrc records are correct and proper disposal of waste product.

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
At least 3 years indoor cannabis cultivation experience

B.S. or higher in Botany, Horticulture, Soil Science or Plant Science
-and-
OSHA 30 General Safety
State of Nevada RUP Certification
Servsafe Manager Certification
Working conditions
The Cultivation Floor Manager will spend most of their time working directly with cannabis plants. Vigorous labor is often required when plants have to be moved, pruned, and worked on. Allergies to cannabis should be considered when applying to this position.
