Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Field Crew during construction projects and their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. Project Engineers assist with monitoring cost estimates, schedules, subcontracts, owner and subcontractor change orders RFQ’s and process submittals.

We are looking for a self motivated, positive and professional team member who can take direction well.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors at multiple jobsites
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Ensure supplies and deliveries are on track to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assist PM's with bids, contracts, RFI's, RFQ's and change orders.
  • Generate project schedules and timelines.
  • Generate detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.
  • Estimate materials and labor requirements.
  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Must be competent at reading and understanding plans.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project, MS Outlook and other project management software.
  • Ability to work with multiple team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed
  • Ability to travel between job sites with own vehicle (reimbursed miles)
