Haley & Aldrich is growing, and we are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist to work in a sales focused role forging new client relationships, while also identifying new opportunities with our existing clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Identify, position, and capture national construction opportunities primarily in the remediation and heavy civil markets.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining client relationships, account strategy, business planning, face to face sales, including some cold-calling, proposal prep and communication.
- Experience working for or with consulting firms.
- Ability to develop strong internal relationships with existing Haley & Aldrich engineers and scientists.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of overall experience with a sales focus. Self-motivated, self-directed and self-driven.
- Always puts clients needs first.
- Can identify, plan and act to close sales.
- National travel to meet with and establish client relationships, attend bid walks, attend conferences, and work at Haley & Aldrich offices with proposal teams.
- Amicable, accountable, and consistently reliable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with proposal development / technical writing.
- Experience within the environmental services industry.
