PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

This role works in close partnership with the Vacuum segment's leadership to develop strategies for growth and performance and translate that into additional customers and new business opportunities. Directs the pursuit team, identifies and qualifies new opportunities, and brings customer opportunities to closure to create long term partnerships.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY:

  • Lead generation: Use creative and unique strategies to engage the market and customers to develop opportunities and strong pipeline for ADI.
  • Problem Solver: Understand our customers' manufacturing challenges, identify ways for us to partner with them and provide business outcomes.
  • Account & Opportunity Planning: Develop and execute account & opportunity level strategies to create and close new opportunities.
  • Leading a pursuit team: The ability to leverage resources across the organization and partners to move opportunities through the pipeline to close.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek new opportunities and solutions for the business and our customers.
  • Specific preference in experience selling products for vacuum process systems, scientific equipment and semi-conductor process equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALITIFCATIONS FOR ENTRY:

  • The Basics: 4-year college degree preferred; 2 years associated + experience acceptable, plus 5+ year experience
  • Market, Account, and Opportunity Identification: Experience assessing a market and identifying potential customers as well as getting meetings with them through creative ways.
  • Sales Process and CRM Proficiency: Experience or willingness to follow a sales process leveraging tools like a CRM to manage the pipeline
  • End-to-End Sales: Experience or the ability to navigate from a market study through an order or partnership with new customers or expanding existing customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience collaborating effectively with diverse sales teams, including segment/business leads, estimators, and proposal developers.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful pursuits.
  • RFP Response Expertise: Experience Responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) effectively.
  • Ability to compelling RFP responses that align with customer needs and ADI capabilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
