The Benefits Specialist will work closely with the Benefits Manager in the day-to-day administration of Cooper’s benefits program. The Benefits Specialist must have effective interpersonal, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage priorities and multiple projects within required timelines. He/she will take ownership of Health & Welfare (ongoing and open enrollment, wellness initiatives, COBRA, vendor management) and Retirement (annual funding, annual audits) and Healthcare Reform related projects (ACA Reporting) and be successful in driving those projects, as well as handling daily administrative tasks.
2 to 4 years Benefits experience. Two to four years of Health & Welfare and Retirement Benefits experience
Effective organizational, detained oriented problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills. Thorough knowledge of MS – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access required. Knowledge of Lawson preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred.
