Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Rural Carrier Associate. As a Rural Carrier Associate, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural areas using various types of vehicles.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, box trucks, and refrigerated trailers
- Load and unload mail and packages from vehicles
- Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Collect payments for postage and obtain signatures for delivered items
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis
- Experience driving vehicles with manual transmission is preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and coworkers
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with courier or delivery driver responsibilities is beneficial
