We're seeking a ML Research Scientist to join the UI Understanding team within AIML. Research Scientists in our team collaborate with ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and other specialists to tackle significant technical and human-centered challenges, develop and deploy technologies using Machine Learning, and collaborate with partner teams across Apple to ship internal tools and external products.

Description

We are building machine learning technologies to understand and interact with user interfaces. These technologies integrate into a variety of Apple products and services. Our technologies were the basis for the Screen Recognition feature in iOS 14. You'll work closely with the rest of the team to implement and deliver UI Understanding technologies into several tools and products. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with and impact multiple teams across the company, and through those teams, millions of Apple users.

• 3+ years practical experience in software development
• Experience engineering production software systems on mobile devices; especially on Apple platforms
• Ability to be self-directed and handle competing demands from multiple simultaneous projects
• Experience in building early stage products, and making them robust and scalable

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or greater, or related field or equivalent experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
